A Special Me~t3ng of the City Council. of the pity of Laurel, Montana,..
w~.s held in the Council Chamber' and was called to order by Mayor John Beslan-
w3.tch at 1~s30 o'clock P. M., on Wednesday, Apr31 1, 1961..
Upon taking roll calls the following aldermen answered presents
Jacob Ruff E. H. Ebersviller, Sr. Roy Edwards G. I,. Gass
?~Tilliam J. Palm Cecil Nave Ed T~euthold
The Special Meeting was called far the purpose of meeting with a rep-
reserztative of the Montana State Highway Commission regarding; the moving of the
Cityts 1!~" water ling which is on the Highway right-of-ways and for the discussion of an emergency budget and call for bids for materials.
Mr. Mackey, from the Highway Commissionx made cert~i.n reports and ~t-
at~d that he was certain that the Highway Department would go along w3.th making
definite corrmiittment as to horn much the D€:partment would per towards the movirg
off" this line, as recommended by the State E~caminer. He stated that it would pro- bably pay 7~~ of the entire cost, and perhaps would advance the pity a certaa.n
amount to het the pro~~et started.
After thoraugh discussion, motion was made by Ruff and seconded by ~'alm
that a resolution be drawn up declaring that an emergency exists in the Water Re-
placement Find, and declaring public hearing. Motion carried.
Motion was then made by Palm and seconded by Edwards that the pity
~l~rk be authorized and directed to advertise for bide far the pipe and incidental
materials naeded for the job. Motion carried.
There being no further business to come before the council at th3.s time motion was duly made and seconded ghat the meeting b ad3ourned. Motion carried.
