Motion carried. The Mayor reported on the incapaci°~y of the storm drains on 5th Avenue. After much discussion, the Mayor appoin-~ed Yovetich,, Eciwarda and B1.ack to see what could be done about this situation and report back at the next Counc3.3. meeting. Peter Thomson addressed the Couneil~ stating that he had met w3.th the County Commi:~s~oners and the County Surveyor about repai.rin~ the roacl. north of Kiawani~ Parr. Mr. 7.'h'homson stated that the County will repair the road if the City will remove the necessary dirt for leveling the road. Mr. Thomson also Mated that if the City dogs decide to remove this dirty it could be used ~.t R,iverside Park. After di~cussion~ Kais~±r made the motion to have the St~ee~ Carnmitt~~ look into this matter with the authority to act. Bl~.ck seconded ~h~ motion and the motipn carried. A letter was r€~ad from Morrison ~gairle Co. expl~. nine their part in thy; Columbus matter. Edwards asked permission of the Council for the United Fund to have a Fund Drive, in Laurel in the near future. B1a~k made the motion that permission be granted and Gass seconded -~h~ motion. Motion carried. B1aek r€:ported on a meting with the City-County Planxiin~ Board to C13.5C11S~ a County Wide Plan. The City+~ share in this plan w311 be in the amount of ~2~OOC~.~~. With $ 00.00 of this to be paid this year and the remaining $].,~~O.OQ to b~ paid in 19~7o The ~~,OOQ.04 will entity the City to a ~ year membership in th~.s plan. After discussion; the motion was made by Gass and Seconded by Black that the necessary letter of intent be sent t4 the Board showing our interest in this pro,~eet. Motion caxried. Yovetich then made the motion that an emergency bud~;~t be set up to pay the ~500.~0, with the remaining ~1~,~00.00 to be budgeted far n~x~ year. Black seconded the motion and the motion carried. Parker reported on the Elc~etriea~. Board Meeting. Ha presented r~commendatiors of the Board to be approved by the Co~a.ncil. Thy recommendations are as follow s 1. That a eharg~ of ~2.~0 be set up for any temporary pl.umb3ng hook-up. 2. A 1(?0 amp main circuit breaker be required for a~.l new entrane~s. B~~.ak made the motion to approve the recommendations and Kamer seconded. Motion carried. Black reportPC~ that he had complaints from peop7.e on Pennsylvania Avenue about the weds in the a1ie~. He stated that if the City would cut the weeds, the residen-F~s in that area ~aould keep them cut from now on. 'his mattAr was referred to the City ~nginPer. After much discussion, it was decided -Ea e~ait and let the persons connected with the station make a def3nit~ report to the Council about l~a~ing the building.
