Meeting called to order at 7:00 P.M. by Chairman John Smith.
Members present ; Bill Brennan , Bob Spannagle , Bob Western , and Roy Za~hm.
Guests present ;Jim Roberts , Frank Felke , Kent Potter , Don Crilly ,
John Ostlund , etal.
1997 meeting were approved as read.

Moved by Zahm , seconded by Spannagle to pay bills ,motion passed.
We have contacted owners who owe for tie downs, Some have since paid.
Mr. Ingehas expressed interest in leasing a lot for hangar construction.
Craig Canfield , Interstate Eng.,introduced a resolution to hav~ attorney,
Ken Peterson draw up the legal description on lands we are attempting to
acquire and proceed to initiate condemnation proceedings.Motion made by
Zahm to pass the resolution , seconded by Western , motion passed.
We should hear from the affected landowners by March 27 concerning acceptance
or rejection of our last offer.
The State Land Board would like us to correct an error in our application.
The appraiser has completed his appraisal of the State lands we are acquiring.
The price ranges from $1,080 per acre to $1,500 per acre on different pieces,
The technical specifications have been prepared for the contract for construction.
John Mohr will review them.
In response to a "request" from the F.A.A. and thanks to the heroic efforts
of Frank Felke and Bob Western,an inventory of aircraft at the Laurel Airport
was completed. There are75 servicable aircraft at our facility.
We will plan on burning weeds at the Airport on Saturday April 5th,weather
permitting.The local chapter of the Montana Pilots Association has volunteered
to assist us.The Laurel Volunteer Fire Dep'~.has been notified and may send
a truck to standby.
M.P.A. Fly in at Chico Hot Springs on April 20.
