A Special l~i~eting of the City Council of Laurel, Montana was held in
the Council Chambers, and was called to order by Mayor John Be~lanwiteh at
1isOC~ o' clock P.M. ~ on Friday, June 1C1~ 1966.
Upon taking ro11 call the following Aldermen answered pxe5entt
Kenneth Olson Gerald Gass Roy Edwards Don Bradford
Lou3.s Yovetieh Henry Kaiser
This meeting way called for the pur~o~e of approving a letter of intent to tnTillard F. Fraser, expressing our interest for afall-out shelter
in Laurel.
Mr. Earl Morrow, Yellowstone County Defense Director, reported
that a board of directors for this project i5 as follcnass Mayor of Broadwatc~r,
Willard E. Fraser, Mayor John Beslanwitch, and the County Commissioner.
M~. Morrow also reported that the prope~s~d fall-out shelter will.
be funded by the U. S. Government, and wi11 be no cost to the City.
After dz~cussion, Bradford made the motion that the Council approve
the letter of inten-~ end Olson seconded. Motion carried.
There being no further business to be decided upon ~.t this time,
the meeting was recessed.
