PTovember 21, 1967
A regular m~±eting of the City Council of the City of Laurels Montana
was held in the Council Chamber~~ and was called to order by Mayor Kenneth E.
Olson, at 7s30 otclock, P. M., on Tuesday, November 21, 1967.
Upon taking roll call, the following Alderanen answered present:
Gerald (}ass Roy Edwards Walter Parker Richard Black
LQUis Yovetich Roy Horning E.H. Ebersviller James Southworth
Minutes of the regular meeting of November 7, 1967 werQ read.
Motion was made by B1aek that the minutes be approved with the corr~~tion of
~tParker made the motion teat the City barn b~ ~o~n down« to ''Parker made the
motion that the City barn be removedRt. Ebersvill~r seconded. Motion carri~:d.
Minutes of the Special meeting of November 8, 2967 were read. Motion was made by Ebersviller and seer~nd.ed by Black ~h~.t the. minutes be ~ proved.
Motion carried.
Minu+es of the special meeting of ~o~emb~r 11~~ 196? were read. Motion
was made by Black and seconded by Gasp that the m3.nut~s b~ approved as read.
Motion carried.
Resolution No. i33o was presented as follows:

RF~UT_RI!UG A~DSTIbNAL HXP~NDITURES FROM SFVF~tAL ~FU~TDS AN? DIR~CTSk1Q~ PU~3LICATION OF NOTICE OF A PUE?LIC HEARING.
With the funds being designated as Riverside Park, Airport, and the
Police Fund, Black made the motion that Resolution RTo. 1330 be adopted.
Fbersviller seconded. Upon faking a roll ca11 vote, all ~lderm~n present
answered «Aye~~ and paid resolution was declared passed and adopted.
The Laurel Federated Womans Club addres~e~d the Ccjunc l introducing
Mr. Bob Todd from Montana Power Company who gave the Council ~ report on new
and better street lighting for Laurel. The Mayor appointed the L3.ght and Water
Committee to work with the Wornan.~ Club on this pro~eet.
Gene Bafs~~er~~ addressed the Council asking if the bonds on the Water Reservoir world be gen~r~l obligation or revenue. Th~:rp was much discussion on
on this subject.
Gass reported it was the r~commendatie~n of the Committee that
Ordinance #~0~ be revised. The Committee will present two proposals to the
Councils ane "For" live music and da:~cing and the other one «Against~~, at which time one o~ the proposals wi1~ become an cff~etive ordinance. South~orth
made the motion that the Cvmmittee~~ recornm~:ndation be ~.c~~pted. Black s~cond~d,
the motion carried.
Mota~on was m~,de~.~by Ebersviller and seconded by Yovetich that the C3.ty
renew the leases far the buildings at Riverside Park in the amount of x,1.00 for
1,0 years with the Laur~Z Rods.>and Gun Club and the American Legion. Motion '_"~1 ~J

Motion ~ra~ made by Black and s~cond~d by Southworth that the lease
with the Laurel Ri~'le Club be turned over to the Paxk Committee with authcarity
to act. Motion earri~d.
Yovetich reported he i~ working on the sale of car license plats 3.n
Laurel.
Edwards reported the Assembly of God Church constru~t~d a snow fene~:
around the basement of the church.
Gass reported they are still waiting for meetings about the calbe TV.
Black reported on information pertaining to a professions]: ~tra.f~~c survey.
Ebersviller reported h~ talked with Ken Hag~:man about starting a
rural fire department.
Eb~rsviller also reported on the bad sidew~,L~ next to Decarlo~s Conoco St~.tion. Dal r~po~ted on this also.
Minutes of the City Council of Laurel
Parker gave a ~±eport on the meet3.ng he attended ire Helena about the Northern Pacific Railway~~ Ma3_ns~reseter.
Yovetich asked Daley i~ he would finish the tennis court. This will
be dons.
There was discussion on expanding the vault and off3ees. Ebcrsv#.11~r end '~dwards will makes a study of the situation.
Daley gave a report tin the water school he attended.
There being no further information to come before the Council. at this
tame, motion was duly made and seconded that the meting be adjourned. Motion carried.
