Upon taking roll e~.ll, the following Aldermen answered present:

Minutes of the previous re~u.lar mc~etang of October 17th wire read.
Motion was made by Southworth and seconded by Black ghat the minutes be
approved a~ read. Motion c~.rried.
Minutes of the Special meeting of October 18th were read. Motion
was made by Black ~.nd seconded by Gass that the minutes be approved. Motion earr3.ed.

tTpon taking a roll call vote, the Mayor declar~;d Resolution No. 1329 passed
and adopted.
The Patrolem Reports and Police Judge Report were pr~sent~d for
approval. Edwards made the motion and ~e~conded by Gass that these reports b~ approved. Motion carried.
The sanitarian report was read for approval. Mohan was made by
Black and seconded by Ebersviller that this report be approved. Motion carried.
Health Officers Report was presented for approval. Motion way made by Gass and seconded by Black that this report ire approved. Motion ca.~ried.
Library Report was presented for approval. Motion was made by Black
and seconded by Eb~rsviller that this report be approved. Motion carried..
City Gl~rkrs Trial Balance and. Cash Report way pre~en~ed for approval. Motion was made by Eber~viller and 5econd~d by Gass that these reports be
approved. Motion carried.
A letter was read ~vm the State Department of Health, notifying u~
of the Annual. School for Water and Waste ~nlater Plat Operators and Managers.
The School will b~ held at the Montana State Univ~±rsity in Bozeman, November 13
through', the 17~h. Motion was made bg Southworth and seconded by Black that 2 men be sent from the Water Plant and the Sewer Committee decide if 1 man

Motion way ~nad~ by Cfa~s and seconded b~ Edwards that the claims be a7.lc~wed.
Motion carried.
Meyer Harris, Jack Mayes, and Qliver Wold were the spokesmen for
committee appointed by the Chamber of Commerce to discuss the off-strut parking situation. Black stated it was the recommendation of ths~ Council committee
that the lots the City barn pits on be designat~sd for temporary publ3.e parkin,
~~l these lobs are used a~ a future site for a new fire hall. After much
discussion Parker made the motion that the City barn be ~em~v~d~~ mnd -the 4 lots
be designated as temporary public parking. Black ~econd~d the motion and the
motion carried.
Rusty Hall, a member of the Boy scouts, addressed the Council with
several. questions about the City and he miso introduced the boys with h3.~n.
Mr. and Mrs. Paul G3~fle addre~s~d the council, stating that on the
last Sattu°day in ~etob€:r the Eagles held a dance with live music. Mr. G~efle
stated if he held such a dance 3n hip establi~hment~ he way informed h~ would be punished under the regulations of Ordinance.~#~d3, however, nothing had begin
done about the dane~ and live music at the Eagles. Thy Mayor appointed a
eommi~tee of Gass, Yovetich, Parker, Paul G~efl.~ and bonny O~Day to make a
study of the state law regarding privilage5 of Fraternal. (}rganizations and to
compare it with the Gity ordin~nee.
Yovetich made a motion that the City ~erew tsar down the Volmer
resiflence. Southworth seconded the motion and the motion earri~d.
Yovetieh made ~,h~ motion to install a stop light at the corner of
6~h. Street and 1st Avenue. Southworth seconded. After much discussion, a
roll ca1_L vote was taken with Gays voting ~'No", Edwards "No", Parker ~~No'~ Black ~t~oft, Yovetich ~~Ye~ ~T, Ebersviller ~~Nof~, ~ou~hworth "Yes Motion w~.s

Black stated that Harold Gaston requests permission to lave the State.
Motion way made b~ Ebersvill~r anti seconded by Qass that permission be granted.
Motion carried.
Black reported the cards to be ~lac~d on the ~arha~e cans wire being
printed.
Gass reported they were waiting to set up m~eting~ with the personnel
from the cable TV stations.
Edwards reported on the erogswalk~ at the school. In eonne~tion,
the City Clerk way instructed to contact the n~eessary people to see if we
could have a professional survey of our traffic Situation.
Daley reported hip pl~ng and specifications to reeon~truct the wa.~er
~~.in on 1st Avenue had been approved. He ~~ated the mon~:y would b~ given. in monthly payments by the Stake Highway Department. It is also his opinion to
wait til Spring on this pro~eet.
Yovetich reported that the gu~t~r in the ally next to Chris Nel~ont~
prop~rt~ is too high and the water backs up b~cau~e of it. Them was also
discussion on the curb and butter in front of Ashby Noelts property. After
much discussion, the matter w~.s refaarred to the ~nginesr with pertni~sian to
repair both places.
Bradley reported that the Assembly of God ~hu~~h has begin torn doom
but the basement i~ not fili~d irs and i~ a definite safety hazard. It was
reported that the Church has several offers to sell this property, aMd because
of this they are waiting to fill in the b asement. The Mayor appointed Gays ~.nd
Edwards to check into this matter.
The Mayor stated th~.t Walt Parker nd memb~r~ of the Chamber wire
laving f.'or Helena November 1967, to attend the meeting about the Main~tr~eter
and anyone e~lse~ wanting to go were welcome to do so.
Thy Mapor anno~aneed the Rotary Dinner way postponed until November 28 in the Methodist Church b~.sement at 12s1~ P.M.
There being no fu~th~r business to come before the Counc3.l at this tame,
motion way du1,y made and Seconded that the meeting be ad,~ourned. Motion carried.
