Ms~~~~g. Thy Mayor called a 1~ minute recess for the study of the bids. Upon
reeoneen3ng the m~etin~, the City Engineer asked the Cdiancil to adept the bids
under advisment and every company biding would be notified as to ~h~s aecEptanc~
of one of the bids which was done.
City C1erk~s Cash &eport was presented for approval. Motion wa$ made:

The American Legion wishes the use of riverside Hall, t~ctober 2~, 1967 far their Di~triat Meeting. B1aek mace the motion they be given p~rmi~~ion to
u~~ thc~ Hall without charge. Ebersviller ~ecanded and the motion carried.
Meer Harris asked the Mayor to reactiv~.t~ the committee appointed to
look into the matter of off-strut parking. He stated the Yellowstone Bank
might b~ w3.lting to designate the lots behind the City Ha11, if the City will do
the same with the lots the C3.ty barn sits mn for this purpose. The Mayor asked the committee of Gays, Black and Yovetich, to meet with Ban~€ officials and o~h~r
business men on Thursday, ~etober 19, 7.967 at 3.3~ P.M.
Southwor~h reported w~ could pureha~e a traffic light for approximately
X700,00 including installation on the corner of 6th Str~~t and 1st Avenue. This
matter was refer~r~d to the Finane~ Cammit-~ee.
Southworth reported on the manhole in I{iawanis Park.
Edwards had a complaint about the dancing 3.n the bars. This matter way
referred to the Police Commi-~te~.
Edwards reported that he had been through the allies in the downtown
di~triet, and there are a lot of garbage caries uncovered. After discussion, Gasp
made the motion that warning cards be printed and the garbage men place these
cards on the c~r3.s in violat~en. ~bersviller seconded and the motion darried.
Roy d.waxds stated that he had mgt with the thief of Polies and the Police Jude and a Sate Highway Patrolman about Ordinance #~72. Six~~e th3.~
Ordin~nee complies with the Highway D~par°~ment,~th~ Judge would ~.thdraw h3.~
r~guest for the r~s~ris3.on of the Ord3nanc~.
Edwards stated that Mr. ~Tollan a~k~d the crops wally signs be repainted.
It was the opinion off' the Engin~~r that unt 3. 1st Avenue is eomplet~d, it would be a n~v~r ending fob. Edw€~rd~ aald~d that the School i~ conducting classes ~o ry
teach the small children the meaning of the crosswalk.
Edwards a1~o reported that the City could lease a raelar unit for
~55Q.~ with monthly payfnents of ~~~.00 at a 7~ earring charge. The monthly
payments would be applied on the inital cost of the unit if' we decide to purehas~
~ it. After discussion,, Black made the motion and Eber~viller seconded that the City accept this unit on a Fi0-day trial basis i#' possible. Motion carried.
Gass stated it was the recommendation of the committee to have ~
meeting with the personnel from the cable TV ~ompanie~ and het dovan to arts &
figures. The City Clerk way instructed to contact these people of our position,
Gass reported it was the recomm~nd~tion of the committee that the urn
of the Aldermen~s personal car be raised from '7~ miles to 125 miles at the same
8 cents a mile, effective July 1, 1967. Motion way made by ~ber~viller awl
seconded by Parker that this recotrtrnendation b~ accepted. Motion carr3~d.
Ebersviller reported he had a complaint from Mr. Kindsfater on nth Ave. about the replacement of his driveway involved in S.I.T?. #93, This matter was

Bradley reported that Leonard Ste~riy had a vacant lot in thy! &~0 block on Washington that has many weeds and is a fire hazard to surrounding
` property owners. It way a~e~d that committee would discuss this matter with

Them was discussion about the drain on Mountain View Lane.
