August 26,1997
The meeting was called to order at 7:00P.M.by Chairman John Smith.
Members present were Roy Zahm and Bill Brennan.
Guests present were Bob Redding,Will Metz,Craig Canfield,and one unidentified.
No bills were presented.
Minutes of the meeting of July 22,1997 were approved as read.
Craig Canfield reported on land acquisition. Fox's and Reiters moved to
dismiss the complaint,the Court dismissed Reiters motion,Fox's motion is
pendingWe recieved "discovery requests" from the complainants.They want . ~
information on all aircraft owners,hangar owners,tie downers,etc.
Dan Ruff has agreed to sell us an avigation easement and ½ acre of land.
We discussed the Editor's editorial in the Laurel Outlook. It certainly was
not very well researched or educated.We discussed printing a reply.
Will Metz discussed repair of several areas of taxiway. A taxiwmy overlay
is included in the project so no action w~s taken.Will will find out if
State grant and loan funds are available to repair cracks in the paralell
taxiw~y.
The big truck is to be picked up tomorrow by By-Pass Truck Repair and
repaired , hopefully.
