was held in the Counc3.l Chamber~~ and c~].l~d to order by Mayor Kenneth E. ~l$or~~ at 7:3~ o'clock P.M., on Tuesday, Uec~mb~r 3, 1968.
Upon taking ro11 calls the following Aldermen an~w~red present:

Thy minutes of the previ.ou~ meeting wire reed, Motion was ~.d~ by
Gars and s~c~onded by Parker that the minutes be ~ppro~ed a~ read. Motion
carried.

Resolution NQ. 13~1~, berg a re~ol~tion transferring pertain ~~nd~
of the Cite of Laurel, Montar~a~ namely $2,7~~.7~ from -the Water Opez•atin~
Fund to the Water Reservoir Bond fund, these ~onie~ to be repaid from the first
t~ receipts received, was presented. Motion way made: by Ga~~ and s~;conded
by Ebersv3.ll~r that this resmlu~ion be passed and adopted. Motion carriad.
Glai~s for the month of November were presented, including one from
the Montana League of Cities and ~own~ regarding the balance o.~ 1968-1969 dues
in the amount of $121. t36 ~.s follows

Motion was made by Eber~viller and seconded by GaSS that these claims
be allowed. Motion carried.
The Mayor Mated that whew the City increased the irrigation rates i.n
Mays the Catholic C~metex~ rate was doubled along with the rest. It was
suggested that this matter should have been referred to the ~eme~ery Board. It
was sug~est¢d that the City Ci~;rk writs a letter to Father Maher inf or~i.ng him
that this matter would be discussed., with the possible result that the Cathcali~
Cemetery would have credit for the next irrigation s~a~an.
Mr. Wayne C~erholt has approaeh~d the Mayor and several other City
personnel, regarding ~on~racting the Garbage collection for ~h~ City of Laurel.
Daley reported on this. After discussion, it was decided to ask Council
permission for Daley ~Ghe Mayor ar~d any other Aldermen who. desired to make an
appointzs~ent with the Ma~ror~ of Colu~bua and Big Ti.~ner to inspect their garbage situation. Motion was mad~± b~ Gass and ~e~onded by Jones"that permission be
granted and appointments made for Wednesday afternoon, December 11th. Motion
carried.
Roy Harnit~g reported about ~h~ Bill Caton properly vn the far end of
Hatiel Avenue. There was discussion of this matter, and ~ig.~.neer reported on this as well as the Mayor. The Mayor then turned this over to the Street end
A11ey Commi.tt~e.
5outhworth reported on the business license situation, and asked that
the Mayor set up a committee to work with Tom Bradley on this matter.
Jones reported on damages at the ~wl~ming pool.
Ga~~ asked for di~eussion on ~h~ cable T.V. matter. A Pfir. Clark will
address the Council on this matter if desired.
Ebersviller reported -ghat a prisoner in the jail escaped through the
fan and ventilator.
Yovetieh asked about the trailer house ~itua~ion. Cit~r Engineer
reported on this. He Mated that the honing Board recommended re-zoning tJhis
district into an R-!t and then the Zon~.n~ Board would okay this permit, City
Engineer to do some measuring and Tom to bring an amendment t,o the ordinance
if required.
Merritt Williams appeared before the Council about some property
outside the City limits and water taps. Mr. Da~x'ha~ .Mates that somewhere there
is an agreement with the City. City Clerk to try to find this agreem~ t. This matter to be turned over to Yove~ioh, Gass, Black and Daley.
Yove~ich reported Pol3ee discrimination regarding the issuance of
traffic v3.olati.on tickets. He stated three instances in particular. After
discussion, the persons who are complaining should be told to contact the
chairman of the Police Committee with ~h~ complaints. 'I

possible not come back to work. Everyone shfluld be on the Zook-out for a
possible replaeem~nt for Streeke~ to wank in the Parks.

There being no further business to came before the Co~neil at this
time, motion was duly made and seconded that the mes~ting b~ adjourned. Motion carried. ~
