Motion w~~ made by Black and seconded by Ebersvill~r that the ~.nut~s be approved as read. Motion parried. A letter ~ign~:d by Mr. & Mrs. Ward request~in~ that a certain allay b~ e1c~~sd was read. Motion way made b~ Southworth, and ,seconded by Ebersv3.7.1e~ that this matter be referred to the City Engineer and the Zoning Board. Motion carried. ftepor~ of the Polics~ Judge way presented. Motion way made by Eber~viller ~.nd ~eaonded by Gasp that t~iis re~por~ be approved. Motion carried. Three claims were pre~~nted for approval., on Water Reg~rvoir Gon~truction and the Airport, signed by the Finance Gommitte~. Motion way made b~ Ebersviller and s~±condEd by Gass that s~; cla3:~s be a~io~~a ' . Motion e~ried. Resolution No. 13~fl~ being a Resolution of Intention t9 area~e ~pe~ial Lighting Di~trie~ ~#3, with accompanying petitions signed b~ ~~rtain propErty owners involved, way pr~±~ented. Several person, ~.ttending the Council Me~tin~ both .for and a~sin~t this resolu-~ion were liven a ~hanee to speak on this ~ub~~et. After di~scugsion' motion was made by Sauthworth and seconded by Horning that the City Council reject R~~olution No. 135th. The Mays~n stated that h~ felt that ~inee over 5~~ of the per~or~s involved had signed the~~ petitions, that h~ would be in favor o~ a mot3.on ~o take this matter urid~r further ~.dvisemen-t. However, since them was motion on the floor, the Mayor asked for a roll call vote on the m~t~on. Upon t~ki.r~g roll e~11 with s~v~n Aldermen pr~s~nt, the vote way four to three in favor o.f rejecting they Resolution. Motion carried. A let~~r was read from the honing Board recsommendin~ ~~rtain amendments to the Zoning Ordinance. After diseu~sion, motion way made by Gass and seconded by Jo~~;~ that th~~~ reeommendation~ be aeeept~d, and the City Attorney instructed to draw up the amendment to Ordinance No. X08. Motion carried.. Health Officer's repot way pre~~nt~d. Motion w~$ made by Jones and seconded by Black that this rex~ort b~ accepted. Motion carried. Ebersvill~r asked about the ex~r~ chips on thc~ str~~ts. City g?gi.n~er rPport~d on this. Eb~rsv3.11er reported that there would be a fi~hin~; d~rb~ for the ,youngsters to b~ held at the South L~,k~ on September ~8,, 1 68. After diseussian, the Mayor appointed Dick Black and ~orc~thy Body to draw up some form of tag, flr devise a ~yst~em for ~orreeting some of ~h~~e ~.olation~, and to begin with the South Side. Cit~r ~ngin~er asked for permission to ca11 for bides to paint the stand 1~7.p~ at the water plant. Motion mad. by Black and seconded by Jones that permission k~~ granted. Motion carried. It way reported that the W~.ter Reservoir had been ~.c~ept~d as o~ September 16, 1968. After taking roll call vote, all Aldermen present vp~ed 'rAye"~ and said R.esc~lution No. 1352 was declared pa~~ed aril adopted. Motion carried. Them being no further business to comp before the Council at this session, motion was duly made and seconded that the m~et~ing be ~.d~olarn~d.
