Motion ~r~.~ made by Black and seconded by Jones that the minutes be approved a~ r~~d. Motion carried. The m3.nute~ of the special budget meeting of July 11~ i968 were read. Motion ways made b~ Ebersviller and seconded by Southworth that the minutes be approved as read. Motion carried. P~ot3.on carried. Polio Judge report was presented. Motion xa~ made by E~lack and seconded bar Jones that the report be s~pproved. Motion carried. City Health offie~r~~ report was read. After discussion a~ to inforCing the ordin~,nee about keeping lids on garbage cans, ~bersviller made the motion the report be approved. After di~cus~ion, So~.thworth made the motion that the City Engineer furnish ~ign~ and the Park E3epartment will put them up to read: No Swimming Or Bo~~ing. Black seconded and the motion carried. Gaston also reauest~d the taurehase of 2 cani~ter~ of Chemie~l Mace and also an extra man on week-ends. ~"~s s matter way referred. to the Police Cc~mmit~ee to discus the request for the eomirg budget. Minutes of the City Council of Laurel ~"her~ was disevssion about the Plumbing end Electrical. inspector. It was the opinion of the Council that Joe Nicholas go ahead and inspect until the Council receives notice otherwise from the State. Yovetich made the motion that Eber~vill~r be granted permission to attend a meeting of the Auxiliary Police to diseus~ the ma-~t~r o~ esxtra.Yelp on week ends for the Police Department. Jones seconded. Mo-~ion carded. 2'here was discussion as to how and what to pay extra help. D~.l~~r reported the w~.ter reservoir will probably be ready for use by the end of next week. Yovetich reported that in order to get the property on the South Side cleaned up the details would hive to be worded out between the Council, Fire Marsh~.~.l and the Fire Chief. Them was discu~~ion about the draining of wrater at the ~t~ar Beet Dump. There way discussion about sprinkling 7t~i Street, Motxnt~.in View ~,an~~ end ~a~t Maryland Lane. 2'h~r~ was discussion about ~~ctending, the water line to fast Ma~y3.and Lane.
