Members present;Bill Brennsn , Roy Zahm , and Bob Western. Guests present ; Bob Redding,Bob Roodes,Frank Felke,John Bain,Craig Canfield, Chris Wester,and two ethers. Minutes of the February,1998 meeting were approved as amended. Bills presented were; Yellowstone Valley Elec. power for Feb. ~ 71.60 Ken Peterson legs! fees $ 1,938.15 Paul Strom & Assts. audit - 1996/1997 ~ 5~0.00 Bills were approved. Correspondence; The Golden Knights asked permission to jump at Laurel Airport.Granted. John Mohr wrote a notice to our tennant resident. Billings Airport gave snow plow to Columbus. Harris Agency notified us that our insurance has changed. Tyler Jensen is requesting a hangar site. Scott 01son is requesting a hangar site. Bob Roods is requesting two(2) hangar sites. Kent Potter wants to build a 60 X 80 hangar on the ramp west of his existing hangar. Discussed having Fire District bill hangar o~ners directly. Pending. Bob Redding presented us ~_th the figures from the latest aircraft count. There are & ultra-lites,lO project planes,6 experimental,and 80 certified aircraft at the Lahrel Airport for a total of 100 planes. Jack Bain discussed plans for the upcoming "Aviation Week~' ,May 13,1&,&IS. Thre will be students attending from as far away as Missoula and Glasgow as well as several schools in northern Wyoming. There will be displays at Thompson Park as well as at the Laurel aud Billings Airports. They are anticipating 12,000 students .Bob Nestern made a motion that we provide & "porta Potties" at the Airport,seconded by Brennan,and passed. Craig ~anfield gave his monthly repoz~b. Questionaires have been sent to area pilots and the response has been good. Over 500 operations by multi engined aircraft at the Laurel Airport in the last year have been documented. Neccisity hearing has been scheduled for April 2 &3,199B. Chris Wester requested that ~e let ~utm occupy the trailer spot when it is vacated. Pending. The Yellowstone County Sheriff's Office has expressed interest in having local pilots fly them around the county to check on "keggers",cattle rustling,etc. they ~ould pay for the gas. ~eeting was adjourned at 8:30 P.~'!.
