Motion caxried. i, Certain reports of the Cit~r of Laurel were prese~n~d for ~,pprov~l I as follows: Library report; report of the sanitarian, r~port~ of the I' patrolmen. Motion was made b~ Ebersviller and a~conded by Jones that these r~por~s be approved. Motion carried. Motion carried. Report of the City Treasurer regarding delinquent licenses w~~ f presented;. After discussion, motion was dull made and s~cond~d that the Treasurer send out citatiflns for these delinquent p~r~ons. Motion carried. Right-of way ~as~ment between the City of Laurel and the Mont~ria 1 power company was presented. Motion way made by Jaek$on Parker and seconded by Beslanwitch that these ea~em~snt b~ ~rant~d. Motion carried. ~ RESOLUTION IdO. 1361 Iw , ~ r RESOLUTIDI~ RiO. 1361, being a resolution extending the Boundaries of the City Limits of the Gity of Laurel, Montana, to include bloek~ One~(1) T'wfl (2) and Three (3), of Mountain Vista Subdivision was pr~s~nted. Motion was made by B~slanwitch and seconded by Walter Parker that this r~~olution be pags~d and ~.dopt~d. Motion carried. Bob Dantic, Diek Mieha~l, and Bob Graham all ~pok~ at various times against the proposed build~.ng of duplex units on the move-described property. Sonny 0~~ay~ and Pete Thomson appeared b~for~ the ~ouneil to ask that the Cit~r take over Kiwanis Park and m~.ir~tain it,, but asked that the name remain the same from. now on. After discussion, motion w~.s made b~ Walter Pa,rk~r and seconded by B~;sl,anwitoh that the City ae~ept this gift under these cireumstanees. Motion carried. Pete `~hom~on th~.nked the various persons aid organi~~.tion~ for their help on this project. R~.y Krueger, repre~~ntatin~ of Alsco Linn Service app~~red b~for~ this council and showed s~mple~ of coverall, pants & shirt, which are furnished, r~p~.f.red and laundered by this Linen Service at a cost of X2.70 per man for three coveralls per week, and $2.60 ?~~r man for two sets of 1 the pants and shirts. This to be paid each week, and a 5~ discount allowed. This matter was turned over to the personnel committee of Eber~v3..ller, Horning, end W. Parke. Chief' of Police Gaston ~.sked permission ~o leave the State. Motion was made by Ebersviller and seconded by Jones that permission be ~rant~d. Motion carried. Bill Caton appeared before the council to ask about payment for hi.~ water line. He was told there ~ra~ no decision as veg. i v I Jackson Parker reported on a study of an ambulance in Laurel. Mo~t1~r a question of manpower involved. Thera is a pos. bility of this pro~~act being a joint venture to go along with the Highway Safety 1'ro~r~m with pos~ibl~ matehin~ fund. Mayor Olson made a temporary appointment of Lyle Jones to the Police Committee in place of Gerry Gass while he i~ recuperating. Eber~viller reported too many dogs running loose. B~slanwitch stated that the City Treasurer should collc~et ~h business lie~nse fees. I i Discussion of the Bank and the City Parking lots. Thy Pol3~e would like to have space reserved for them in thy; Bank Parking lot. Motion war made bs W. Parlor and .~eaond~d by Be~lanwitch that four or five lots be traded with the bank.
