Olson, ~t 7:30 o'clock P.M. on Tuesda October 21 ~ ~ Y, , 1969. Upon taking roll call, the f ollowin~ aldermen answered present. s a Rohr Fiornin~ Jackson Parlor Zyle Jones Jerry ~a.ss John Besl.anwitch a E. H. Ebersviller, Sr. Lour Yovetieh Walt Parker ~ Minutes of the previous meeting were read. Motion way made by ~3eslanwitch and. seconded by Gass that the minutes be approved as read. Motion a i~ ~ar~ied. r: Horning reported only a negative report on the e~met~ry property at the moment, but with sp~eial cemetery board ~~:~tings scheduled. ~ Jackson Parlor reported. that a corrected application for a Grant for ~ an ambulance s~rviee had been mailed. d He also stated that Charlie McManus reported a light out across .£rom hzs bronerty, and has been for two months. J. Parker rep~rt~d that he had two calf about litt3~ children crossing the streets ~oin~ to the Fred Graff 5ehool. There was discussion of this situation, in which Walt Parker reported that in many of the towns there were older p~rsans directing traffic at the school crossin~~. The Mayor Mated ? that in Wisconsin the School District pays these persons. Bradley reported on tk~is also. Walt Menello stated that he would brim this matter up at the next school board meting. Beslanwitch asked about the lights at Athletic Park. The Mayor s-~ated that he would call Marvin Garter who supposedly made arrangements for this work. Yov~tich reported the sewer on the south side He commended the sewer and water committee. Yovetieh and the Mayor both repc~rt~d on-the per~'orated pipe situation l at the Water plant. H~ said that since the pips wouldn't stay, it was pulled to try to sa.lva~e tris pipe. Yovetich r~~orted a complaint from Clifford Frank. Walt Menello appeared before the council on behalf of the Catho7~ c Church, to ask f'or an extension of time to but in the second one-third of the sidewalk, curb and butter. After discussion, motion was made by Beslanwiteh and second.ec3 by Parker that an ~xten~ion of time be made to July 1, 1g70. Motion carried. Bradley reported on a broken sewer ling of Stewart Ward's that wag ; broken by the telephone company. After much discussion it was decided that thy, City crew did up this sewer line in the presence of someone from the telephone ~ company to try to find out the responsibility.
