Olson, at 7:30 o'clock, P.M., on Tuesday, July 15, 1969. is Upon taking roll call, the fallowing aldermen answ~r~d present: a Roy Horning Jackson Parker Lyle JQn~s E. H. Eb~rsviller, Sr. John Beslanwitch Lour Yovetich The minutes off' the previous meeting of July 1, 1969, were read. Motion was made by Jones and seconded by Be~lanwitch that the minutes b~ approved a5 read. Motion ea,rri~d. s. 7 This being the dime and place specified for the opining of bids on gravel and Hot Mix asphalt surface course, the Clerk was asked to, open end read all bids ree~ived, which she proc~ed~d to do, as follows. Motion ear~i~d. Letter was read from the Montana Automobile Association regarding ~r' the City of I,a.urel having a record for no pedestrian cle~aths within the City during the ~r~ar of 19b8, and a placque was presented. j' r Certain reports of the City of Laurel were presented for approval as follow : Library Report; Report of the Sanitarian; Clerk's Trial Balance; r' Clerk~~ Cash Report; Treasurer's Financial Report; Health Off3.eers Report, and j' r reports of the Patrolmen. Motion was made by Ebersvi3.ler and seconded b~ Beslamai.tch that these reports be approved. Motion carried. i Bob Graham appeared before the Council main in protest to the propo~~d building of two blocks of duplexes. Thy Zoning Board's deai~ion { was n~gativ~. Ralph Hatch and Murray also appeared before the council. After much discussion, the Mayor asked for a motion. Yovetich made the motion,. seconded by Jones that the council uphold the decision of the Zoning Board. Motion carried. j Horning asked that the Police be given a copy o~ the 1ea~h law. Council was informed that this had already begin done. Much di~cus~ion o~ weedy and uxide~irable property. Jones reported that the As~~mbly- of God Church has been liven sixty days ~.lready to fill in the basr~ment, and su~~ested that a stronger letter be written to the Minister. Thy Mayor stated that he way going to condemn the stands at Athletic Park if nothing is dons to mike the necessary repairs during the ~ budget sessions. He su~g~st~d that since this pro~eet was a eo~nmunity affair in the past, that possible it could be r~pair~d w3.th the help of the commixnit~r main. Also the 1i~ht poles must b~ repaired. ;i ~b~rsviller was t4 investigate the possibility of ear rental for the aldermen. 1~~`read'letters~~rc~m three other cities, none of which have car r~nt~l for ~h~ aldermen. After diseus~ion, motion was made by Ebersviller, and seconded by Beslanwitch to go back and give the aldermen their $1 .00 f~~ per month as in the past, beginrsin~ with Ju1~r 1st, 1969. Upon taking ro11 call vote, all aldermen pre~~nt voted 'rAye'f~~at~d said motion was duly carried. Ebersvi.ller asked .bout burning, and was told the decision was l; "No burning~f of any kind, includ.in~ weeds. r. 'I~ There being no further business to come before the council at this session, motion was dul~r made ai~.d seconded that the meeting be adjourned.
