T _ ~ - F--- _ I I i Minutes of the City Council of Laurel Motion was made by Jackson Parlor and seconded by Eber~vill~r that this matter be reviewed, and a hearing called flor another time in the near future. Motion carried. The.Ci~y Clerl~ announced the regular and special meetings to b~ held during the months of July and August. Ebersviller w3.11 serve ~~mporarily as the chairman of the budget committee in the absence of Gerry Gass. Another member of the budget con~n3.ttee to b~ announced within a few days. Yovetich ~tat~d ghat the Gay Company has mush repair to 5treet~s and alleys on the south side. the Gas company ~uarant~,es ghat these alleys will be replaced in much better condition than the original. The Mayor reported on this also. Yovetieh retorted that the dog situation is not good. Daley stated that he had been using the man on the street work in~~ead. Yovetich reported on the water situation. Beslanw3.teh reported on doffs. In the qu~~tion of dogs, the Mayor reported that h~ had heard several times ghat persons h~.d called the pi~lice about loose doffs, and wire told that their would have to sign a complaint before an~hing could be done. Bradley stated that this is not necessary since the ordinane~ covers this situation. This m~.tter way turned over to the police committee to straighten out the poli.ee d apartment on this deal. Thy Ma~ror intends to ca11 a meeting of the Police Department and the Police Committee. Beslax~witah stated that he felt that the aldermen should sti11 get the ear allowance as will as the reaen~ raise. Ebersvi7.ler said that h~ feels that the aldermen are ~ti11 eli~ibl~ for the allowanEe. Ebergviller to check into thi.~. Jones asked about s~e~d limits near the parks. Jones and Daley reported on the church basement. Jackson Parker reported that the ambulane~ committee was in the process of inquiring into a grant, po~~ible up to 57~ of the eo€~t in matching funds of 1~3~ for the City. the committee is st311 working on this, and will report when there is an~hing further. ThEr~ was much discussion regarding a f~ne~sd Public Dedieat~d Strut near the Gertrude Gilley property. Daly reported on this.
