DPW CONFERENCE ROOM
The Tree Board met on February 5, 2009, to check on plans made earlier for an Arbor Day
celebration. The Volunteer Firemen indicated that they would be glad to participate on an April
156'date-
Pat Hart reported that so far the family of Gaylord Easton had expressed no preference for a
certain specie of tree, but that she would inquire further.
It was suggested that the Mayor be asked to officiate, the VFW be asked to present the flag,
and Mr. Easton's daughter to give a brief history of her father.
Chuck Rodgers reported that he had sorted Mr. Easton's file, and found the records of the
Board's evaluation of the cemetery trees. He had made each member a copy of this.
Emily Eaton reported that she is working on a grant for Riverside Park, especially for the
pruning and care of the large cottonwood trees there.
The next meeting will be on March 5v' at 1:30 P.M.
