Meeting called to order at 7:00 P.M.by Chairman John Smitj.
Members present were;Bill Brennan,Boh Spannagle,Bob Western,and Roy Zahm
Guests present were;Bob Redding,~e~f Schlabs,Don Crilly,Bob Roods,Kent Potter, Frank Felke,Will Metz,Bob Ostlund,and Randy Pfiefle.
Minutes of the August meeting were approved as read.
No bills were presented.
Report on land aquisition. The F.A.A. will not accept Mr.Thor's appraisal of $5,000
per acre.Our original appraisal was $1,500 per acre. Ken Petersen stated that we need
to contact an independent appraiser and we may have to have a value hearing.
Randy Pfiefle has replaced the septic tank at the trm~ler site and is preparing
to move his unit on site.
Bob Redding proposed that we pave the Airport access road. All we need is money.
He slso argued for all new h~ugar taxiways to be paralell to the runway.
Discussed skydivers landing outside the established Jump zones. Jumping on the east end
is causing parking problems,blocking taxiways,and cont~m~-~ting taxiways with
mud and gravel. It was proposed that Schlabs' group of skydivers develops the park
area west of the Quonset hut to help alleviate friction between the two groups.
The Youth Conservation Corp is lo~k~ for a project and may be interested in
helping. Bob Spannagle moved that we buy grass seed and materials for a sprinkling
system for whoever does it. Seconded by Western,mo$ion passed.
Discussed getting the runways plowed by 6 A.M. this winter so Potter can fly
mail.All snow plowing now is strictly volunteer so if we hire someone to plow
we need to come up with the money. A commutes was named to come up with suggestions.
They are Bob Spannagle,Roy Zahm,Ra~dy Pflefle,Kent Potter,and Bob Roods. We also
discussed construction of a pole structure building to keep the equipment in.
