Olson, at 730 o'clock P.M., on Tuesday, July 21, 197. tTpon taking roll call the following aldermen answered present: Roy Horning Jackson Parlor E.H. ~bersvill~r~ Sr. I~ John Beslanwitch Lour Yov~tich F The minutes of the previous meeting of July 7, 197fl were read. Yovetich requested that the motion made by Ebersviller and seconded by I Beslanwitch that Blocks Orie, (1) Twv, (2) and Three, (3) of the Mountain ~ Vista subdivision be brought in under an R-1 cZassifieation with the provision that Murra~r can take it back out if it doesn't meet w3.th the zoning board,, be corrected to read ~tthe motion carried with one dissenting vote b~ Yovetich.'x Motion was made by B~slanwitch and seconded by Ebersviller that the minutes be approved as corrected. Motion carried. The following reports of the City of Laurel, Montana, wEre presented for approval as follow : City Treasurers financial Statement, City Clerks-cash report, and City Clerks Tr:~I Balana~. A"~tion was made by Beslanwitch and seconded b~ Ebersviller that these reports be approved. Motion carried. ~ ~ Harold Wil~'on representing the Farmers Union Central Exchan~~ appeared before the Council to present a eh~c~k in the amount of ~~~000.00 to be donated to the ambulance fund. Mayor and aldermen expressed their sincere appreciation for this donation. { Dave Murray appeared b~for~ the council in regards to the letter p h~ re~~ived from the zoning board turning down his request for a hardship variance on the houses he is building on the East half of Block 4 of Mountain Vista Subdivision. Murray is in violation of his building permit as these; j hou~e~ w~r~ built on less than the 300 square feet minimum requirement. 3 F; Murray would life the Eouneil to override the decision of the zoning board j of adjustment. Bradley stated that a written appeal should b~ pr~~ented to the City Clerk for notice of a ~ublie hearing to be held on the lath day of August, 1970, and any and all protesters msy appear at th3.s time. i' f. Maury Colberg, Attorney for McDonald Real Estate Co.~ appeared before the Council eonc~rning a zanin~ variance request for a homy being built at 820 5th Avg. The same procedure applies to hi.s request. A written notie~ of ar~peal must be presented. Jackson Parlor reported that the ambulance committee mgt to di~euss the bias and would like to recommend that the bid from Fitchner Chevrolet for the carry-al.l ambul~.nce in the amount of $8,14~.1~9=be accepted. Motion was made by Parlor and seconded by Beslanwitch that the bid be accepted. Motion carried. Parker stated that the ambulance should axriv~ around the Ist of September. Ebersviller asked permission to le~.ve tha state. Motion was made by Parker and s~cond~d by Beslanwitch that permission be ~ran~ed. Motion carr3.ed. Yovetieh stated that the sugar best factory will soon be in operation main and an Ordinance should b~ drawn up for the overweight trucks using our street . After discussion this matter referred to the street and ally committee. ~ { Marvin Carter appeared before the Council in complaint about the j ~arba~~ in the alley near his house. H~ stated that three families wire using 0 one garbage ean. This referred to Daley. i Mayor announeEd that them may be a possibility of having a Laurel based Highway Patrol ~c~me~ime in the future. City Clerk to write a letter ~ to the Highway Petrol Board expressing the need for such a fa~eility. There being no further business; to co~n~ before the Council at this session, motion way duly made and seconded that the meeting be adjourned. Motion carried.
