Olson at 7s~~ o'clock, P.M., on Tuesday, April 21~ 1974 Upon taking roll call the following alderz~en answered present: ~I! ~I ftoy Horning Jackson Parlor Z~rle Jones Gerald Gasp E. H. Ebersvill~r, 5r. John Beslanwi~eh Walt Paxk~r The minut~:s of the pr~vi.~u~ meeting were read. Motion way made by i, Eber~viller and s~cond~d by Beslanwitch that the minutes b~ ~.pproved as read. Matio~ carried. Letter was read from the Mate Board of Health eommendin~ the Council and the water d~~a~°tm~n~ for a bacteria free water supply during the year 1969. C a' Lett~:r~ was read from the Federal Gorr~uniea~ions 9mrni.s~i~n st t~.ng ICI that the application for a Laur~1 based Radio Station hay been rc~~ected. I, Mayor announced that he would like to ~.ppoint John Beslanwitch as United Nations Day Chairman. Mo~io~ way made by Fiber~viller and seconded by Jones that this appointment b~ approved. Motion carried, Horning reported ghat people were not bu~3..ng dog li~en~es and the cit~r had no record of a dogs rabbie shots. Eb~rsviller su~g~sted that somemne be sent from door to char and a ticked be issued if the dog was riot licensed. ~ 1 Gaston stated that the Laurel optimist Club was sponsoring a bicycle $af~~~ Clinic Sat. April 2~, ~,nd would like to sell bicycle lic~n~e~. ~~i Jackson Parlor reported on the Ambulance and Mated that he thought it was of Paramount 3.mportance to get this pro~ra~a started before it extended b~~rond the p~rant n~ricad whie2~ i~ Jan. 1~, 19?0 to Jan. l~, i97i. Parker thought I, the program to b~ safe for at least one gear beyond the grant period. Sn connection with this Parker su~~~sted that the council aec~pt the r~eommendatio~. of the Ambulance Committees. Moti€~n was m~.de by Eber.~viller, ~.nd seconded by Walt Parker that this r~acommendation be ace~pted. Motion car~~.ed. j Ebersviller ~.sked permis~ir~n to leave the Mate. Motion was made by Beslanwiteh and seconded by by Jackson Parker that permission be granted. Motion carried. Be~~laMwi~ah reported that the Park Committee and the F~ecrea~ion board j met and recommended that a new entrance b~ made tc~ the swimming pool. It way also suggested that the wall be painted, the windows covered with ware, and an additional light be put up r~e~.r the entrance. Motion was made by Jaakso~ j C Parker and seconded b~ ~+Ja~lt Parker that the recommendation of the Psrk Committ~s be approved according to aw~ilable fund. Motion carried. Walt Parker reque~tsd that the G~:rbage Committee be given until the next council meting to report on the dump.
