The minutes cif the previous meeting w~r• read. Mo~ior~ was made by
Eb~rsviller and seconded bar Jackson Parlor that the minutes be approved a~ r~~d. i
Motion carried.
r Certain reports of the C~.~y of Laurel were presented For appro~a~l
as follows: City Clerks Trial Balance, clerk's Cash report, L3brar~ repc~r~, Report of the Police Judge and City Tr~asur~r's Report. Motion way made by
Horning and seeond~d bar Gass that these reports b~ approved. Motio~a carried.
The Mayor repmrted that we are sti11 negotiating wi.~h the County
Cornmissioner~ regarding aLaurel-based ambulance service:. Thc~ com~aission~r~
are mut o£ ~h~ vi.cinity ~t the present ti.ine. He al~~ st~.ted that diseu$sion was needed. with the c~mmissivner~ regarding the trash eteeter~, being placed
at the sanitary landfill by the Northers Pacific and the Refinery. Iic also
stated that r-hese concerns are willing to pay, but that a survey c~~ducted
by the Git~ of La,ure~l personnel a,nd the county personnel are nit even
~ close to each other, and that mars work is needed this pro~~et.
Yovetich reported o~ the Great Western Sugar Company hauling this
yE~.r. ~3radleq repnrt~d that are Ordinance No. 3l~1 dated November 1911,
i covered most of the r~ece~saries. H~ su~;ffested a meting between the emuncil
~r ~.nd a member of the Company to try to re~ol~e some of the current problems.
Motion eras made by Yovetich a.~d seconded by Jones that a letter be written
tryi.ng to set up a meeting.. Motion carried.
I Mr. and Mrs. Watts appeased before the council ~gai.n requ~stin~ th~.t
~ somethi S begdone abopt their s~re~t. They stated that they ~ar~t gravel hauled
in. Cit En i~~er re ~rted that the ~trest is nearly up grs~de right now, ar~d
that if gavel were hauled i~ at the ~r~se~t time, it would have to be hauled
out again at such time as the property oxners wished to have the street black=
topP~d curb to curb. Airs. Wat~a stated that shy would try to contae~ Thayne ,app regarding his participation in a street sprinkling program.
1- There being n4 furthear business to ease before ~h~ council at this
time, motion was duly made and seceded that the m~et3.ng be adjourned.
