The minutes of the previous meeting of Fib. 17, wire read,. Matio~
was made by Jackson Parker and seconded by Yovetich ghat the minutes b~
approved a~ read. Motion carried.
Reports of the patrolmen mere presented fir apprmval. Motion was
made bar Horning ~,nd seconded by Walt Parker that these reports be approved. Motion carried.

Motion was made b~ Ebersviller and seconded by Be~lanw tch that the claims
be a119wed. Motion carried.

Yove~i~h suggested that metre Maims be approved through the department
heads. He also stated that mire r~pai.rs nn-city' owned. equipment should b~
done at our cam shop if possibly. 1
Yave~i~h reported that the water eommitt~e would like to reeomme~d i
that the Git~r deny water ~~rwi.ces outside the city li~i.ts fdr tk~e pr~ser~~. t~
Mc~tic~n way made by Beslanwitch and seconded by Walt Parker that this reeommendatio~.

Yovetich presented a Mortara Supr~~e Court ruling stating that a
ei~y is liable for all persons in3ured because of a faulty sidewalk. Prnper~9
mwners are responsible for keeping their sidewalks in a safe condition. All ~1
aldermen t@ report faulty sidewalks in their wards to Engin~+~r.
Ebersvi.ll~r r~partc~d that the park Committee mad the recr~~.ti4n board met w3.th the Water Treatment Equipment Go. to see about new equa.pme~t fir the
s swi i~g pool. Ebersvi.ller stated that new equa..pment z~ust be purchased or the ~I
r' state board of health would riot allow us to operate. Motion eras made by-
Jaeksor~ Parker and seconded by Beslanwitch that the recommendation of the
~j Park Committee be approved. Madan carried. .a kj

Jones reported that the Garbage t~ that was charged to Kenneth j Ha~emar~ is a b~.sia lot charge and must be charged to ham. H~ also staffed that
we are sti11 loakiMg for the r~solutimn concerning this matter. li
Jackson Parker reported that the Amb~alan~e Com~.i.ttee 1.3 negotiating
} with the County Cc~mm~issioners for County as~is~ance in maix~tair~ing the ~ervie~
~k once it is established. Thy ~c~nmittee has circulated petitions ~o the rural area of I~aur~l ~rhich would also be served by the ambulance. The react3e~tt to these
petitions seems to be favorable.
I3orning thanked the Aw~i].~.~.ry Po1ie~ for a dine fob in connection witY~
the Tournaments held in Laurel., 1~c~tior~ was made by B~slanw3.tch and seQOnded { ~F
by Eber~viiler that the Auxiliary Police be commended fox .fob well done. Motion {a
carried. '
Yovetich moved that we writs a letter to the Coaeh~s and team to
congratulate the Laurel ~ocomotive~ for their fire pla~r during the tournament and
to extend our luck tm them in the State Taurnameat. Ebersviller seconded end ~
motion carried. 7
