The Mayor then recessed the meeting for l~ minutes fcrr the finance Com~ittc~ a,nd the: ~urchasin~ committee to study the bids and make a decision if possible.
Upon reconvening the meeting Be~lanwiteh made a motion that the bid of
Fi~ek~ner Chevrolet b~ ace~pt~d~ subject to further study by the finance eo~uni.ttee.
Jones sccond~d and the motion carried.

A letter was read from the Ja~re~es thanking the cocil for their j
S support in ~ecuri~g Riverside Hall.
The Girl Scouts from troop #312 attended the Council meting to get
look at ham the City GovernYna~~t oper~te~.
Kenneth Ha~emat~ appeared before the e4urlcil i~ question about the
garbage rates a~s~~sed against his property that h~.s sever received ~arbag~
service. H~.g~ma~ also c~mpl~.ined about the snow being removed from the center
of the highway to directly in from of his place off' business. Daley Mated that !i
f the snow is graded from the center of the higl~way~by the highway d~psr~~e~t and the cit~t crew must th~~ rems~ve the snow frc the side of the highway. After
much discus~ior~ this zaa.tter tvr~ed over to the garbage committee for further
study.

Gaston reported on the r~arac~tic~ school which h~ attended ire Bo~~aana~. {
He stated that similar s~i~~.r~ wire g~i~g t~ be held ar~d hoped that all I,~.ure1 policemen could attend. Gaston fold the cou~~.cil that display bonds w~r~
available showing what the different drugs lomked like sQ people would know
what to ~a~r nn0~ to.
~ Jack~or~ Parker ~adc a proposal that the ambulance committ~~ meet again
for an ex~ensiv~ study oP the budget to see if the city can afford to operate an ambulance. P~..rker stated that the con2mittee ~rould have ~eeommenda~ior~
at the next council m~e~ing.

not have to allow the water service out of the city, but mace they do, anyotte
outside the city limits ear use the service. This matter deferred t~ the
water cornmi.~Gtees.

city-owned lands on e3,~hth awe. for the purpose of constructing low income housing.
