Mont~.na, was held in the Council Chambers and way called to order by Mayor Kenneth. E. ~ls4n at 7:30 o'clock, P.M., on Tuesday, April 7, 197.

DEPOSIT FUND TO THE GENERAL FtJIcTD CERTAIN INACTIVE WATER. D~Pt3SIT ~GCQUNTS.
Motion was made by Ebersviller and seconded by B~slanwitch that this resolution be passed and adopted. Motion carried. a
h' 'k' Mayor Olson reported on a~meetir~g held with the County C~rr~L~sioner~
f regarding the Laurel-bayed Ambulance Service and the Landfill situation. G3~y
Attorney reported that h~ was waiting for an opinian regarding the ambulance ~
k from the COUn~q~ Attorney and it would probably b~ a co~zple of weekc~. r
E City Engineer reported on the Garbage Situation. Couritp Commissioners
to take this matter under advisement with several Suggestions being made
j~ ~oneerning outside users. Possibility of direct asse~s~~nt to the outside
users, or deeding the 3~ar~i to tie City direct. The purchase of more Qqui.pment
for the landfill is a must for the Qoming year. After much discussion, it
was the opi~t~,~n of the council that ~th~ larger users be assessed by the Git~. ~ The$e users have indic~.t~d th~3.r w3.llingnes~ to pay. Thy Mayor asked that
the street and alley ec~mmittce make a study o~ the outsiders first and cnm~
back with a recommendation at the n~x~ meting. Walt Parker ~uggcssted that
everyone living inside the city be given a free hermit to d A ¢~rba~e and
trash and to charge everyone else a fee per gear.
Jones reported that the Recr~a~tion Comrnitt~e had met, and would like
to recommend ~alarie~s which would result i.n a small savings from last. year,

after discussion, it was thought to compare the cost of monthly salaries with
hourly salaries before deciding ors a salary rate. Other discussion on then
repair and maintenance of ~h~ ~wimmi~g Pool. Jones reported that there ~hou].d b~ f ~ an entrance from the Qutside, end also requested elear~in~ up the trash after s~
f ball game. The lavatory needs working over, and Other carpenter work to be
done. The Park Committee and the Recre~.tion commi~t~;~ to meet and decide on a
workably solution.

YovetieY~ reported on a new pump for the water plant to b~ paid for
from the Water Replaa~ment Fund. TY~is item is budgeted and funds are available, .4~fter discussion motion was made bar Parker a,nd seconded by B~sl~nwitch that the
City Engineer be authorized and directed to put out bids for this pimp. Motion
carried.
Yov~:tich asked all depar~ment~ heads 'Go try to hold off on any ~xeept I
emerg~ne~ pux~ha~e~ until more money is forthcoming from seeo~d half property taxes the end of Jung.
Them being no further business to comp b~~ore the council at this ~i
session, motion was duly made and seconded that the meeting be adjourned.
