Rodgers reported ~h~.t the c~.t~ is ~.~raiting a derision from the Sta~~ Pollution Board ec+ncern~.n~ its request for ~ special burning pez~3.t to burn
ltamber being taken to the city dump.
Rodgers recommended that ~ co~nn3.ttee be ~e~ up to study the po~~~.bility
of having wedding dances at Riverside Park aga~i. This cammi~tee wi3.l a1~o
study the fe~sc to be charged and the metMad of poliein~. Ccnn~n3.ttee to consist ~ of Rodgers, the Park Committees CY~ief of Po1ic~ Gaston, and Harold Collin,
head of the Aux. Police.
Rodgers reported that the Po13.~e Com~3t~~~ would like to recommend ghat
Gaston be appointed as Pu11 time chief . Gaston wo~zl.d work str3.c~7.y from h~~
own e~,r. He would continue working shift work u~ti.l the new man 3.~ ~ompet~nt
o~ go3.ng ont on his own. aas~Gon would like t€~ recsomm~nd L~nhardt to act ~s a~si~stant chief in the abaence of the chief. Motion was made by Kilpatri.e~ and
~eQOnd~d by Parker to appoint t~aston a~~chie~ and Lenhardt as A~~istant Chief.

several men for the Sob under the Ear?ergency E~ripic~yment Aat, ar~d appointed David Herman. The Po1ie~ Cc~.ttee thought ~3ob M~nw~~.l~r and David ~Termaxi should be
cc~mp~n~ated ~ fee of ~~.(?0 per d~.g perr anon for going to Police School to pay
for supplies and ~mm~anit~on. Motion was made by Kilpatrick and ~econd~d by
Behan to accept the r~commendat3~on of the pmlice eomxn3.ttee. Motion carried.
Kilpatr3~k reported on the permanent mo~.ument to be ~re~t~d .n

service organizations but they were hopeful that the ei~y wo~.l.d pay the :~3.~
per month for the power on the light. A ccm~i.~tee ws~ appointed to check the

Kilpatrick reported that there should be stog sign on Railroad
street. Street Committee to check into this matter and csome up w3.th a
reeomme~datien.
Parker reported on the water commi.tt~~'~ decis3.on to a11ow ~.he
modified easement requ~~t by the Cont~.nental ~?i~e1~e Co. Parker ~t~ted that
we have ~7.ready received the checks for damages snd for ~nod3fication of the
e~.sernent.
Parlor reported that Dave hurray would 1~.k~ to installs ~.t hip expense,
a trunk line on Latirmae Zane near blo~k~ 1, 2, end Thy City wo~a]..d supply i

Mayor Yovetich reported on the Community Action Program. Nlaymr j
appointed Tom Hard to Serve on this eommitt~e to work with the progr~r,.
Yovetich Mated that them should be a stop light on F~.r~~ Ave..
between 6th street and 1st Ane. Comm3.tte~ to study this.
