Paxker stated. that h.e felt the antire council should supr~ort the Mayor in his actions, end made this in th.e form of a mot~_on, seconded Y~~T Rodgers ~
end the motion carried.

an observer.

!',-ay Easton appeared before the council with a report on Earth Week,
a.nd asked for some financial help to be listed ~n the next budget for irriprov~.n~ and bPautifyinn the ~'a.st Side of the Tlnder~ass in Laurel. He asked that t
,he rna.y~r an?~oint a. committee to work with other organizations on this project.
t After disctassion the Mavor appointed tho Perk Committee to meet with these
oraa.nizations at the Owl Cafe for eoffee and to report back to the council.

CitTj Clerk made a report nn the investments, and after discussion,
motion was mace bar Kilbatrick and seconded by Rod~;~rs that this matter be
1-~urned over to the finance committee to meet with the Yellowsi~one i3a.nk, and
with authorit~r to act. Motion carried..
Subject was raised. red ardin~ a fire hydrant for the ~ a Slur Trailer
court. ?'arkAr reported on this.
Burns mentioned comrlaints re.s~ardin~ trash from Thriftways.
f Burns re~artAC~ on th.e recre~.tion committee, a.nd on the employees
hired for t?~e coming season. Motion was made by Parker end seconded by
G Eber~z~i.11Pr to a.nnrove the recommendations of the Recreation }hoard. Motion
Carried.
Kilpatrick commented an AZaryland Line and Second Avenue.

i C City Attorney reported on the ambulance que[tion and a conversation
with the Go>>nty Attorney. Parker reported. on this also.
Tre P~ayor re~ort~d that the new administratie~n is now in char?e, ~ a.nd stated that he hack a good deal of c~nfid~nce in himself, and. the aldermen. a'
He stated. that there would. be very few comnZiments and. many criticism . He
st?.ted that he would b~.ck a.ll the committees provided that these committees
a.re not swayed by outsi~Q interests and clubs. He said that the positior.~ of
the City Glerk, City En¢ineer, Chief of Police and the City .A.ttorney arp to il,
be rPs~ected, and. that he hopes there is no one who leas ~ personal ~e to grind. a
