The Mayor then con~ratula.ted tY~e winners of the City Election. j, r' Alderman parker re?~orted. on the Snorkel box. He stated. that there has ~ been strenous objection to making the a7_ley one way from West, to fast. He stated that the committee would recommend that this not be done at this fi~~.me, and. that ~ public h~~.rinr~ be conducted at some f.~zture time. Motion wa.s made by darker and sPCOnd.ed b,,r Fbersviller that the recommendation of the committees be a.cce?~ted. Parker stated that the committees would be .glad to meet with the ~o4tm~.st,~r at any t~ me. Motion carried. I P~.rker reported comr~laints regarding repair of an a11ev torn up by the M.~.tJ. Yove~ich stated that the City shou~~ re?~air its okm streets also. Mayor Olson stated that this was a matter for the Street and Alley Committee. Parker stated. that he wanted to con¢ratulate Yovetich on his election as Mayor and at the same time thanked all the aldermen a.nd the present Mayor Olson for the ~nnortunity of working with them d.urin~ the past two ,years. Motion died ~ for lark of a second. Yovetich reported on the ~,efler's water damage from broken water ~ lin.e. Estimate about ~382.n0. He stated that the City is ~robabl~r 1i~b1~. If the Council feels that the C-itJ has an abli~;ation, th.e ins~.arance co. will ~ re-open the case. In view of this fact motion was made by Y~vetich and seconded by BPSlanwitch that the Council on record. as feeling an ok~liaa.tion.
