Ward 1 Council Members,
The mayor wanted me to share the link above for information about a proposed mental health facility in
eastern Montana.
The mayor requested over a month ago for me to reach out to the State to get more information about
what their plans are and to see if a site west of Laurel would work for them. The state never responded as
the Governor put a hold on the project. I was told more information would be coming out from the
department of health. We received the above link the other day.
I haven't had time to review everything in this link, but I will over the weekend. I am not aware of any
Lands inside the city limits that would work for the state. Any lands outside the city limits would follow a
public process and would have to be approved by the City Council.
Have a good weekend, I hope to read more about the states plans over the weekend.
